Tuesday Presentations and Workshops
Join us for more than 100 presentations featuring professionals teaching in K-12 schools and universities. This year we will feature strands for Library Media Specialists, Special Education Teachers, Math Teachers and English/Language Arts Teachers. We will offer hands-on sessions and BYOD sessions. All presentations and workshops are listed below. You are free to choose from any of the sessions when you register for Tuesday, January 8th, 2019. The detailed schedule will be available mid-December. If you choose to attend our post-conference workshops, taking place on January 9th and January 10th, you must register for the sessions individually.

Cost: 
The fee for Tuesday is $110 for NJECC members and $125 for non-members.
All individual workshops on the post conference days are $110 (member) and $125 (non-member) for each workshop.
Google Certification Preparation Workshop Level 1on post conference days is $279.00 (member) and $299.00 (non-member).

Blender In the Classroom
Blender is a 3d open source software that encompasses modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation. Most of all Blender is a great model for visualizing the 3d space. It's a great way to spark interest in math for those that aspire to be animators/game developers.

Geographic Information Systems for Students
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a highly-pursued skill in research centers across the country. This workshop will allow the learners to acquire the skills they need to set up a classroom or number of classrooms in a renowned GIS system free to K-12. Teachers will go through a standard learning session that most computer-savvy users will be able to follow in a 60-minute period. A pre-video on how to set up an ArcGIS Account will be provided in early December for participants to be ready for the workshop.

With the prevalence and availability of coding platforms, all teachers have the opportunity to infuse computer science into their classrooms. Flipped Classroom
The Flipped Classroom is a popular approach for maximizing class time for higher-level thinking activities and discussions. This hands-on workshop will teach participants how to create online tutorial videos to use in a flipped classroom setting. Attendees will learn how to implement various ways of delivering instruction through the videos.
